County offices will be closed Monday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. County libraries (Evans, Grovetown, and Harlem) will be closed Saturday, January 16 through Monday, January 18th. Book drops will be locked during the closure to prevent overfilling. All offices and libraries will resume normal business operations on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

River Watch Parkway paving to begin on Wednesday, June 8th.

What: Due to weather conditions, the State Route 104 (River Watch Parkway) resurfacing project from the Columbia County line to 15th Street is now scheduled to begin Wednesday (June 8th) night.
 
Message boards will alert the traveling public of nightly paving operations. The work could take up to six weeks.
 
The 7-mile resurfacing project is part of the $9.6 million River Watch improvement projects being funded by the Transportation Investment Act and is scheduled to be completed by August 2016.
 
When: 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning; Typical weekly plans are to pave Monday through Saturday nights until complete.
 
Where: Work will begin near the Columbia County line on River Watch Parkway and work back toward downtown Augusta.
